皆さん、こんばんは！今日は私の冒険の日記の初めてのエントリーですね。知っていない人のために、説明するべきですね。来学期、信州大学に行き決めまして奨学金を６つ受けました。日本で勉強しに行くことを楽しみにします。

とにかく、先日私の便を買いました。うわー、すごくハラハラになりましたね。９月の１２日にアメリカから離れます。カリフォルニアのオークランドに運転してＬＡＸに飛んで成田空港まで飛びます。あそこから、電車で鎌倉に行ってホステルに泊まります。

一人きりに新しい国に行くことはちょっと怖いかも知れませんね。最近、日本語の会話会に行っていて日本人の友達と話すと恥ずかしくなっていました。悔しかったですよね。もっと練習がぜひ必要です。私の話す日本語はまだまだですね。

今朝は奨学金の申請を入力し終わりまして、午後は新しい会話チューターを見つけました。夜の残ってる時間でフラッシュカードに書いてる言葉で勉強するべきですね。この短いエントリーを許してください。

Hey everyone! Today is the start of my Japan Adventure Diary. For those who don’t know, I guess I should explain. Last semester I decided to go to Shinshu University, and I got 6 scholarships toward that end. It’s hard to believe it’s happening, but I’m really looking forward to studying in Japan!

Anyway, I finally bought my ticket the other day. So excited! I’ll be driving to Oakland, flying to LAX, then flying to Narita Airport. From there, I’ll take a train to Kamakura and stay at a hostel there.

Going to a foreign country alone might be … just a bit scary? Lately I’ve been going to a Japanese conversation group, and when I talk to my Japanese friends I get embarrassed. It’s frustrating, and I definitely need more practice. My spoken Japanese just isn’t there yet.

This morning I finished filling out a scholarship acceptance application, then this afternoon I found a new conversation tutor. For the rest of the night I should probably study my sentence flashcards, so please forgive this short entry. I’ll write another entry when there’s something new to report.
